Import from Screenshots

Last updated March 27, 2026

Sometimes ReciMe can't fully read a recipe from a website or social media post, but don't worry! If the recipe is written out, you can take a quick screenshot and upload it instead. It only takes a few seconds.

Follow the steps below to import your recipe from screenshots:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Take a screenshot of the written recipe. If the recipe spans multiple screens, take all the screenshots you need — each one will stack as a preview in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

💡 Importing multiple screenshots? After taking your multiple screenshots, tap the stacked preview to open all of them at once, then continue from Step 3 to share them all to ReciMe.

Step 2

Tap on the screenshot preview in the bottom-left corner of your screen to open it.

Step 3

Tap the Share button in the top-right corner.

Step 4

Select ReciMe from the list of options.

💡 Don't see ReciMe listed? Follow these steps to add ReciMe to your share shortcuts first.

Step 5

Make sure each ingredient and instruction is on its own line — and double-check the order for accuracy before importing.

Step 6

When everything looks good, tap Import in the top-right corner.

Voila! Your recipe will be successfully imported into ReciMe, ready for you to save, organize, and cook anytime. 🍳
