

16 oz pasta of choice

4 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

2 large onions, thinly sliced

8 garlic cloves, minced

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp Italian seasoning

2 tsp salt

2 tsp black pepper

4 tbsp chili crisp

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan

Reserved pasta water, as needed

Fresh parsley, for topping
Cook pasta in well salted water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain.
Heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring often and adding small splashes of water as you go, until caramelized.
Add garlic, paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until fragrant.
Stir in the chili crisp and let it cook into the onions.
Add heavy cream and parmesan and stir until smooth.
Toss in the pasta, adding pasta water as needed until the sauce is glossy.
Finish with fresh parsley and more chili crisp if desired, then serve. Best served with chicken or any protein of your choice.
