


2 cups butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract

1 Tbsp almond extract

2 eggs

5 1/4 cups flour

3/4 Tbsp (2 1/4 tsp) baking soda

3/4 Tbsp cream of tartar
Yellow Food Gel
1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.Cream butter, sugars, extracts, and eggs until light and fluffy.
3.Add dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.
4.Divide the dough into 3 equal balls. You are going to add yellow gel to one ball, mix well, then add orange to your second ball, mix well.
5.Roll each color out in-between saran wrap and then layer in a baking dish (I used a 10"x8") making sure to remove saran wrap between the layers.
6.Chill overnight or for at least 6 hours
7.Take your layered cookie dough and slice into ½ inch slices, then cut at angles to get your candy corn shape.
8.Bake for about 6-8 minutes, do not over bake!
