1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders

1 cup buttermilk

1 tbsp hot sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt pepper

2 cups flour

3 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

5 tbsp frying oil (from the pan after cooking)

1 tbsp brown sugar

1–2 tbsp cayenne pepper (depending on spice level)

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Pinch of salt

Purple Cabbage Slaw

2 cups shredded purple cabbage

2 tbsp mayo

1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice

Salt pepper

Optional: drizzle of honey

4 hoagie/sub rolls

Pickles

Ranch dressing or spicy mayo
Mix buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken tenders and let sit for at least 30 minutes (longer = better)
Toss the cabbage with mayo, vinegar/lemon juice, salt, pepper, and a little honey if you want sweetness. Refrigerate while cooking.
Mix all breading ingredients in a bowl.
Remove chicken from marinade and press into flour mixture really well for crispy edges.
Heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook tenders 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Transfer to a wire rack or paper towels.
In a bowl, whisk together frying oil, cayenne, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt. Brush or spoon it all over the crispy chicken.
Assemble sliders by layering cabbage slaw on your toasted bun, then your tenders, add fresh pickles to the top, and ranch/spicy mayo. Drizzle more Nashville hot sauce on top. Enjoy!
